Mouang, Chan and Sou plant sweet onions near the city of Napa. "We plan now and harvest in April." -Mouang (The lu Mien immigrated from the hill tribes of Laos and Thailand and assimilated in the United States after the Vietnam war between 1975 and 2008. While the larger communities are in Oregon and Minnesota, some of the lu Mien settled in California's Napa Valley.
