"My Italian grandfather was a merchant in the Midwest in the early 1900’s. He always warned me to never open a business in someone else's building. After six fabulous years we have been forced out of this location. I truly believe that as one door closes, another one opens. There are so many possibilities of things to do! The only thing I will miss if we can’t eventually find a spot in Calistoga is all the wonderful people I’ve come to know." -Blackbird owner Nancy Putney-Abernathy will close her shop in downtown Calistoga by the end of the month.
